Gardens Lavenham Old Rectory

The gardens of the Old Rectory are a real highlight. Extending to over three acres the gardens have been transformed over the past four years and whilst, as with any project of this type, work is continually being undertaken the gardens offer something for everyone be they passionate gardeners or just interested observers.
To the rear of the main house are the formal gardens with classical formal pond and beautiful herbaceous borders. These blend in to the rose garden with its pretty arched walk and thatched summer house. To the South of the coach house is the meadow with its electric mix of wild flowers and plants and grass walks but be careful not to step on the eggs from the free range hens that roam the meadow. To the West of the Coach House is the stunning walled vegetable garden with its Victorian style greenhouse. The garden is planted with traditional and unusual vegetables as well as an array of colourful flowers giving off an exquisite perfume.
